Burst (or Surge) Training ~ Week 4

Being active, feeling energized and satisfied that I've done my share of physical exertion for a day is important to me. I like to look for more variety of training available in the virtual world. And one of the last discoveries for me personally was a so called "surge training" or "burst training."

Basically, it is a short and very aerobic exercise that can be done in the convenience of my home, if I wish. But I do various elements of surge training at the gym as well.

Here's the Week 4 of surge training offered by Sylvia. I like her style and the simple variety she brings into the routine. Feel free to look into other surge training videos that you find suitable for yourself.

The only trick is – Being Consistent!

If you took a break for whatever reason, pick it up today and proceed with your active exercise routine. Do something every day for your body to be thankful for this ability to move, to feel exertion, and to grasp the benefits of such gift as physical exercise.

Here are the links to the previous weeks of burst or surge training.

With that said, I am wishing you and your loved ones the best wish of all – Health and Prosperity!

Brain Toniq Will Keep Your Day Longer And More Powerful~ Review & Giveaway (1/12)

Brain Toniq and Trim Toniq
My dear friends, I do my best to bring you quality products that could assist you in reaching your health goals – weight loss and weight maintenance included – in this so fast approaching 2012 New Year.

Please take time to learn and research more before you jump and dive into, and undertake drastic changes using new products in achieving your weight loss goals.

One simple rule without any discouragement: You Must make your decision First what you are going to do. The second part of this simple rule – actually doing it – will be coming with much joy and determination when you know you are doing exactly what you set yourself for in the very beginning.

And to help you through the process, today I’ll review one of the quality and safe products to assist you in your weight loss goals.

Today, We’ll Celebrate TrueToniqs!

When I was doing my research this year on the new trends and products this season, I came across an interesting product called Brain Toniq. Obviously, I always wish my brain functioned at the top of its ability. So, I researched and tested this product on my own body.

The results pleasantly surprised me. I tested Brain Toniq first in the morning before my business activities. On the next day, I tried it in the afternoon. On both occasions, I have experienced a pleasantly sustainable flow of focus and energy that I so much need in my daily craziness of schedules and coordination, and quick decision-making.

Let me assure you, that I do not ever test or try on my body anything unless the ingredients list has passed my rigorous consideration.

Brain Toniq has an excellent Nutritional facts.
some of the Ingredients are Blue Gren Algae, Rhodiola Rosea Extract, and Eleutherococcus Extract.

Just to give you an idea what little of the big picture the above ingredients contribute to, glance at these clinically researched facts:

Blue Green Algae (Aphanizomenon flos-aquae)
  • Contains Amino Acids and Essential fatty acids (DHA, EPA Omega-3)
  • Antioxidants (Betacarotene)
  • Polysaccharides that stimulate the migration of immune cells in the body
Rhodiola Rosea Extract
  • Exerts an anti-fatige effect that increases mental performance (1,2,3)
  • Rich in phytochemicals (which are anti-oxidants to say the least)
Eleutherococcus Extract (or Siberian Ginseng)
  • Increased endurance and anti-fatigue (4)
  • Memory and learning improvement (5)
  • Anti-inflammatory (6)
  • Immunogenic (7)

Why Celebrate Woman Loved Brain Toniq:
  • All Natural And Non-Harmful Ingredients
  • Does what is says it’ll do
  • Smooth functioning and no drastic down curves
  • Delicious Taste
  • Very reasonable price
My experience with Trim Toniq was as pleasant as with Brain Toniq. The major difference between these two drinks is that Trim Toniq curbs our appetite and eliminates cravings. If you think, we need both in order to manage our diet plans for mornings, lunch times, and evenings! If you are launching your new year initiatives in weight loss and maintenance, try both Trim Toniq and Brain Toniq, as both drinks will sure be your Support Group when there’s no one around to give you their shoulder.

Would you like to try Brain and Trim Toniq before you say “yes” to them? Win them! The TrueToniqs Team will provide you a case of a drink of your choice!

Celebrate TrueToniqs Today!

Weight Loss Is A Huge Industry ~ Get Smart What You Consume! CLICK Protein Drink Giveaway ~ Plus Free Samples (Jan 4)

CLICK Giveaway Prize, $25 Value
The season of weight loss has already begun. Of course we are only approaching our favorite Christmas eve, but the 27-billion-dollar machine competing for your dollar spent towards energy and weight loss products has already spread out its wings in ambush advertisement, video and online campaigns, and luring you and me into their net of dedicated customers.

I am so much for the products that actually can and do contribute to our personal goals of weight loss and weight maintenance. The only problem I have with the majority of such products is that they have a lot of chemicals and “proprietary blend” options that do not actually disclose to us what they really do to our bodies. To our endocrine system. To our total hormonal system.

When one person finds it out, it can be already late.

So, this season, knowing exactly what is going to happen in this crazy market of weight loss and weight loss products, I researched some new products that are actually Healthy, Do what they say they’ll do, and Support you towards fulfilling your goals.

Today, Celebrate Woman gives you CLICK.

What is CLICK?

CLICK is a protein drink that helps you to lose your weight by supplying your body with essential feeding components like protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, fats.

The coolest thing is that CLICK can be consumed as either cold or hot drink. And my preference is when it’s HOT!

I used CLICK for several days. This product impressed me. Literally, it kept my blood sugar under control, i.e., I did not feel hungry or had any lows in my energy.

To test this protein drink even further, I tried it first in the morning as meal replacement. My dear friends, it kept me going for many hours without any hunger cramps!

I also tested this drink during the day, when I had my regular breakfast. It worked great as well by giving me a normal feel of my energy that allowed me to work through all my projects without thinking about food or feeling tired.

In a word, I like this CLICK product A Lot! First, it’s made out of very quality, non-harmful ingredients. It’s a must for me. Second, it does what it says it’ll do – supply with energy and all the nutrients to keep us going.

Celebrate Woman Gives a Five to the CLICK Team:
  • Clean Ingredients List that past my rigorous test
  • Pleasant Vanilla and Mocha flavors
  • Enjoyable Hot or Cold
  • Provides 23 Essential Vitamins and Minerals + 15 Grams of Protein
  • Low in Calories and Fats (120 Calories per huge serving)
  • Offers Double Shot of Espresso as the alternative to sugary coffee and energy drinks
  • Great Addition to Your Weight Loss program
Would you like to explore the CLICK Protein drink yourself?

You can! Here are the options.
  1. 30% Off of One (1) Canister of CLICK – Promo Code CLICKFAN
  2. Win it here, on Celebrate Woman Today Rafflecopter Giveaway!

Express Your Sensual Self: Key to Controlling Your Appetite, Part II

Preface from Part I: It's not that you designed your life to be so crowded that your needs get lost in the shuffle. As your needs get submerged in the daily grind, you not only lose sight of the day of the week, (is it Thursday?) – you lose contact with your senses.

Gaining weight loss motivation
If your only pleasure in weight loss is seeing the scale move down a little at a time, you are going to suffer motivational set-backs. Especially if you are on one of those diets that make you eat like a rabbit and sacrifice your favorite treats (don't they all?). You are going to feel deprived. Denied. Restricted. Limited. And when you are feeling that way you need to balance it by increasing your pleasure along the way.

Losing significant weight is not as easy as just consuming fewer calories.

Losing a lot of weight, which can take months to do it and still be healthy, is a challenge to your will power to stay the course. No matter what program you are on, your emotional commitment is going to take a strong beating at times. And the ONLY way to get though that is to have already begun a path of rewarding yourself with pleasures each step along the way.

Find pleasure – lose weight
Otherwise, when the going gets tough (and it will at times) the pleasure you will most likely seek in those weak moments is to overeat – to binge on exactly the wrong foods (other than Bugs Bunny, no one gorges on carrots). Plus, you just set yourself back several weeks in your weight loss plan. With that blown, further discouragement sets in, and the cycle WILL repeat.

The preventive measure is to learn, re-learn, permit yourself to find pleasure in living, smelling, touching, tasting, seeing, and being loved again. And to do it now, to make it a habit BEFORE you experience the long haul of trying to lose significant weight.

You need to feed your body's senses, if you are going to be depriving your body of calories.

The emotional process of losing weight, the path to weight loss motivation, to losing a lot of weight, is going to have to go through you being willing to be sensual once again. Joyfully accepting your sensuality.

Your sensuality will lead you to weight loss. A lot of weight loss.

Don't believe me. Try to lose a lot of weight and keep it off without increasing your sensuality. Oh, yes, you've done that already. We all have. All of us. Now it is time to justify you taking the time, and effort, without guilt or apology, to smell the roses, eat great chocolate, to experience once more – to express once more – the perfect kiss.

How do you control your appetite?
Conclusion: Express Your Sensual Self

Weight Loss Motivation Tips by Susan O’Brien, The Hail Merry Founder (4)

RECAP: Susan O’Brien is a raw food genius whose dream is to “create a national brand that can inspire a paradigm shift in the way America perceives and eats snack foods.”
*****
My readers are always talking and asking about women who are successful in their business careers and in their healthy weight maintenance tips.

Susan willingly opens up on her weight loss and weight maintenance points of view.

CelebrateWoman (CW) Susan, have you had weight challenges along the way, especially when you started being involved with your business?

Susan O’Brien (Susan) Absolutely. I am 45 and fighting my new metabolism is tricky. I eat well, so that helps.

My greatest challenge is finding time to work out. If I don’t practice yoga at least 2 times per week ,I really begin to break down mentally and physically. I made a commitment to myself over 10 years ago to make working out and yoga a priority in my life. I still continue to do this.

CW What is the #1 way you motivate yourself to control your weight?

Susan My motivation is a combination of vanity and wanting to feel good. Feeling good being number one. Besides, we all like to look good.

CW What would you tell my women readers who go through their own weight management issues in their busy lives?

Susan You will never be happy in the other aspects of your life if you are not healthy.

We all carry weight differently. I have never thought a super skinny woman looks good.

When you get to be my age, being really skinny makes you look older. Some plumpness is sexy in my opinion. My challenge has always to keep plump without getting a big belly. Once the belly starts to protrude, it’s time to run.....I love to run with my dog.
*****
That’s what Susan thinks and does when it comes down to her weight issues. Each of us is unique. But I think that examples of other women who are successful in their lives really help all of us to get motivated and know that we are beautiful when we are Healthy.

Weight Loss Motivation Tips by Mareya Ibrahim, The Eat Cleaner Creator

These weight loss motivation tips come from a super busy and amazingly successful woman. Mareya Ibrahim of Eat Cleaner shares them with all of us.

CelebrateWoman (CW) Have you had your weight challenges along the way, especially when you started being involved with your business?

Mareya Ibrahim (Mareya) My challenges were more around making the right food choices. It’s just too easy to grab whatever is in front of you when you’re starving.  But a little planning goes a long way.  Packing raw almonds, freshly washed and cut fruit and vegetables really help you get through the temptation of the vending machine!

CW What is your #1 tip for weight loss motivation for yourself?

Mareya For me, it’s about maintenance. If you can maintain your weight consistently and not worry about the yo-yo effect, which is so bad for your body, it works out better all around.  Once you train your body to love clean eating and exercise, you live it.  Processed, filler foods become a thing of the past.

CW Any personal word for all my women-readers who go through their weight loss and weight management issues?

Mareya Don’t be sabotaged by fad diets and quick fixes. Maintaining a good weight is not as tricky as everyone makes it out to be.

• Fill your plate with lots of fresh, simply made food.
• Eat at least one plate of salad a day and learn to love it without heavy dressings.
• Enjoy meatless meals and focus on nutrient dense ingredients, like kale, broccoli, and other greens, as well as whole grains (when it comes to grains, brown is better than white, always!)
• And drink tons of water with lemon.  If you never drink another soda again, that would be a great thing – even diet is bad for you.
• And make sure to move.  At least 20 minutes every day, get your heart rate up, even if it’s a brisk walk around the neighborhood. There’s never more fun than sharing so, find a friend to support your mission and help each other become successful and accountable.

PS: If you have any questions to Mareya, please leave them in the comments below. She will definitely read and answer them.
PPS: If you know a woman-entrepreneur who has created healthy product(s), please let me know, so we could spread the word about her and her contribution to this planet.

Cool Cuke and Honeydew Fizz – Refreshing Drink Recipe

Get Jiggy With the Juice
(by Mareya Ibrahim, Eat Cleaner Creator)
Growing up in a warm country, a prerequisite for a blistering hot day – about 10 months out of the year – was to pay a visit to the juice bar around the corner from our flat.

The proprietor would stack the counters up with colorful pyramids of oranges, beets, mangoes, guavas and pomegranates, depending on what was in season.  Vases filled with rods of sugar cane and long carrots anchored the artful arrangements to create an edible landscape.

Once the juicers started to whir, the sweet scent of freshness would dance through the steamy streets, luring customers in like a pied piper.  He’d create his own signature fruit and veggie ‘cocktails’, mixing beet with orange, carrot and mango, a soulful blend of sweet and savory.  At a time when soda made it to our side of the globe, juicing was just pure refreshment.

Now we know that fresh juice provides us with invaluable nutrition in a glass.  Yet, most of the juice you purchase at the store has been heat pasteurized, which destroys bacteria along with many of the beneficial nutrients.

If you make it at home, you’ll not only preserve a bevy of vitamins and minerals, essential fatty acids and good carbohydrates, you’ll also ensure its safety of the fruit and vegetables when you buy and wash them yourself.

Added bonus…you get the best of the fruit, including fiber and concentrated nutrients, while reaping the benefits of quick-release energy in a flash – a great pick-me-up before and after your yoga workout.
*****
Cool Cuke and Honeydew Fizz Recipe

Tip: Use Eat Cleaner wash or wipes for all veggies and fruit in this recipe to enhance safety and flavor.

Why You Should Indulge: Cucumber is a good source of folic acid, potassium, vitamins A and C and is a natural anti-inflammatory, maintaining overall health and wellness.  Honeydew melons are also chock full of vitamin C and are naturally low in calories.  Combined with sparkling water to give it a fun fizz, Cukes and Honeydews are the perfect mates.

Makes approx. 16 ounces
1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped
2 cups cubed honeydew melon
1 cup sparkling water
1 Fresh lime

In a blender, pulse cucumber and honeydew until smooth.  Add sparkling water and blend thoroughly.  Pour over ice or chill and finish with a squeeze of lime.

What Your Mouth Is Hungry For, Is Not What Your Body Is Craving

Nutrition is something your body understands. It doesn’t need a college degree, or even a high school diploma to figure out what it requires to be healthy. And it tells you in not-so-subtle terms how well you are meeting those nutritional needs. Your body talks.

When you understand the nutritional feedback language of your body, you can take actions that can save you grief – even save your life.

See that spare tire spreading around your middle? Your body is talking. No energy when you wake up in the morning? That’s clear communication.

See that uneven, splotchy surface to your skin? More talking going on.

Of course you know your body talks. We all do.

What is going on when your excess weight is talking but you ignore it and choose to eat something you know you shouldn’t? Remember that heavy meal last night, and how tired you were getting out of bed this morning? Your body says they are connected… why aren’t you listening?

Have you told your body to shut up, and bribed it with laxatives, antiacids, or maybe Prevacid or Tagament?

How do you get to the point that you quit listening to your body? Or try to talk it out of its strong opinions with drug store remedies? Or Weight Watchers?

Your body deserves a lot more respect than that. It deserves to be listened to. Doesn’t it?

But unlike a chatty spouse, you can’t just chalk up your body-talk to a difference of opinion. Your body is going to keep doing – saying – what it needs to, to express its strong opinions. Like a loving partner, your body is hoping that one day you will listen, and change what you have been ignoring.

Why don’t you listen to your body?

Why don’t you comply with your body’s requests to change what you eat, how you exercise, and your need for proper sleep and less stress?

Only a few real answers to that question. Either you don’t believe what your body is telling you, or you don’t care. Or perhaps you don’t believe you can make changes that will make a difference. Which is it for you?

It really just gets down to your sense of self, your feelings of self worth. And, in this case, that is rooted in your sense of connectedness to your body. Many people tell me they see themselves as one thing, and their body as another. They feel disconnected from their body.

Others tell me they are tired of arguing with their body – it never seems to do what they want it to do. So, on most days they just give up, and ignore it.

A beautiful relationship develops by listening

What about the healthy people that I know? Each loves their body, and wouldn’t think of not listening to it. Each respects the beautiful simplicity of what their body is telling them all day long. And in listening, they have come to a peace, a beautiful relationship with their body. They are so close to their body, they think of themselves as one with it – true soul-mates experiencing all that life has to offer. A life they share as one.

If your body is telling you, with its excess weight, incessant tiredness, its skin problems, and general sluggishness, that you need to change something, and it has been telling you that for a very long time, then stop. Ask yourself if you count.

Are you worth being a good listener?

Are you worth being a vibrant person in this world? Because, if you are not worth it, then maybe you have been doing the right thing in ignoring your body’s needs. Keep going your separate ways. Of course that will lead to a divorce one day, a sad and unhappy separation is in your future. It will be costly, and come sooner rather than later.

But if you are worth it, if you truly feel you want to live a vibrant, happy life, then take some time and begin listening to your body. It has a lot to tell you, and believe me, if you listen, and respond, your body will begin leading you back to the joyous health you have been missing.

Remember, you don’t need a college degree, high school diploma, or even a marriage counsellor to learn to listen to and understand your body’s language.

The first step to begin that amazing listening journey is your next bite. Consider that what your mouth is hungry for – is it really what your body is craving? If you will listen to that key difference, you are on the path to a harmonious life together – you and your body can become one.

Isn’t that what you want? Isn’t that what you need?
