We are doing our job separating trash, recycling plastic, glass, aluminum cans. But to create something like this, I was truly in awe.


Behind this creation and eco-friendly business is Severine Zaslawski, the founder and the front-runner of The Green Glass Company. Severine’s mission is to promote sustainable products as a preferred choice for consumers.

All the beautifully made class products in all of her collections are made out of wine and beer bottles that come from the waste stream. The Green Glass Company has created a network of partners who are actively looking and collecting all the used glass and then ship it to the Green Glass for a new look and new usage.

By using patented technology, The Green Glass Company creates products with walls that are up to ten (10) times stronger than traditional glasses. The edges of the glasses are fire-polished with a process borrowed from crystal makers, to produce a smooth rim for a great drinking experience.

The design of the glass is based on the color and shape of the source bottle, with little changes made to keep the process eco-friendly.

FACT: Re-purposing glasses takes only a fraction (1%) of the energy it would require to create a glass from scratch!

The frosting effect on glass is achieved by a non-toxic sandblasting, not by acid etching!

Look at these images. The tumblers and goblets were created our of one bottle. Basically, the bottle was severed in the middle, and the glasses received their edge and stem “trimming” by the specialized processes.

What You Need To Do:

How To Join:

• Free Method:  When the blog carnival goes live in your giveaway post and after you sign up on the linky below. I will send you a script to put at the beginning of your post along the lines of the green text above. When you receive the text after joining the linky, you need to make a post saying you are in this hop and encourage people to join in. The more traffic we get the better. The second post will be your giveaway post on the day of the Blog Carnival.
• Paid Method: Only a button is required in your post on the day of the hop with a $5 administration fee paid to jennifer@makobiscribe.com by paypal.

Rules:

• Your blog needs to host a giveaway on your site from the January 3 to January 10. There will be no minimum prize value.
• By signing the linky below you are agreeing to post a post about this upcoming up and grab the button and the green text announcing it. Email me with the link of the post at jennifer@makobiscribe.com so I can check you off.
• The script for the actual giveaway post will be provided to you by email after Dec 15th. (Paid method is agreeing to send the admin fee to Jennifer)
• The post will go live at 9 am Jan 3 to midnight on Jan 10.
• There will be a blogger prize of a Kindle awarded at the end of the hop on Jan 11 to one of the participating bloggers. To win this prize, you must have posted the button, script, and linky and have your giveaway post live before noon on Jan 3.

Luck of the Irish Giveaway Hop Sign Ups Open

Luck of the Irish Giveaway Hop will be hosted by Yankee Texan Mom and Deals From MS Do  from March 1 12:01 AM to March 17 11:59 PM and are accepting signups now.

DATES

The event will begin at 12:01 AM March 1 and end at 11:59 PM on March 17  (all links not up by 10AM CST  March 1 will be marked with NO GIVEAWAY and then deleted 12 PM CST).  Exceptions will only be allowed in the event of natural disasters or carnage.  Excuses that do not fall into that category will be evaluated at the sole discretion of the hosts.

What You Must Do As A Participant (Mandatory):

• Host a giveaway posted on your blog totaling at least $25 for one winner. You are allowed to have more than one winner as long as each prize package is valued at $25.  If you have multiple prizes, there must be one main post for this giveaway.  The giveaway must run for the duration of this event.
• Include a Luck Of the Irish Giveaway Hop Button in your giveaway post to identify the giveaway as being a part of this hop.
• Sign up on the linky with a correct email address (that you actually use) and add ytmom@yankeetexanmom.com on your safe-senders list.
• Include the linky that we will provide later within your giveaway post
• Include a few sentences about the event, hosts and any possible Grand Prize info and sponsor link that will be provided to you.
• Check your ego at the door and be prepared to have fun.  It is a requirement that you play nice with others.  (We’re not dictators though, we will let you run with scissors as long as you don’t send us the doctor’s bill.)

What You Could Do As A Participant (Optional):

• Grab the button and post it somewhere on your blog.
• Ask questions if you have them.
• Keep the giveaway entries simple.  Ideally, no more than 1 mandatory and no more than 5 optional.
• Include a daily Tweet entry using the event hashtag.
• Publicize your giveaway.  (We will publicize the event, but it is your responsibility to publicize your own individual giveaway.)

What Our Hosts Will Do:

• Answer any questions that you may have – just ASK.
• Publicize the Luck of the Irish Hop on multiple sites.
• Communicate.
• Make you laugh.
• Tweet out each one of your giveaways at least once during the event.
• Provide a sponsor linky so that you can show your sponsors extra love.  Most blog hop participants will post this on their blog – ALL will post a link to it.
• Provide a Hashtag for the event in advance of the start date.

How To Join: 
You have options – you can pay or write.  Send $5  admin fee to texasmom71@gmail.com OR write a post announcing the event in your own words that includes the following information:

Also, check the spelling of your email address that you enter in the linky.   The hosts will use this email address to contact you.  Once you have signed up, you can join the Facebook Group.
