Celebrate Woman (CW) Who is the primary target for ZoLi products?

Juianna Shaw (Julianna) ZoLi was created to give parents of young children – newborn to 2 years old – products that are safe for kids and good for the environment at the same time.

We strive to provide unique, innovative offerings that give a “Wow” factor to parents that enjoy great design and functionality.

But our goal has always been to reduce the amount of harmful chemicals and materials that kids are exposed to. While the current age group using our products is roughly newborn to 2 years old, we have new products on the horizon that will be of interest to parents with older children. 

CW What is the #1 reason someone should buy ZoLi products?

Julianna The #1 reason to buy our products is that they are safe for your children.

But, it’s the #2 – 5 reasons that people will buy them.

1. Safety
There are lots of products on the market that are BPA or phthalate free and are made from good materials. But, they might be cost prohibitive, or might not work well.
2. Affordability
In addition to our products being safe for kids and good for the environment, they are affordable.

3. Availability
They are readily available through a large network of retailers or through our own website.

4. Design & Functionality
They are a great blend of innovative thinking, modern design and great functionality – they work as well as they look.
5. Efficiency of Use

And, they are meticulously designed to ensure that they work the way they should and are convenient and useful.

CW What benefits will a person receive when using ZoLi regularly

Julianna Using ZoLi regularly is our goal. We want our products to be an extension of your life and to grow with your children.

We like to think that our customers will receive not only the confidence that their kids are safe from dangerous chemicals and that our landfills are not full of wasteful materials, but that they will also receive compliments on the modern design, unique features and ease of use!

CW How does the price of ZoLi compare to others in your category?

Julianna While eco-friendly products often do have a higher price point in the market, one of our primary goals was to make our products affordable, so parents can protect their children.

In many instances, our prices are lower than many of our competitors and are not far off from mainstream products that are not created with a commitment to healthy materials.  

CW Everyone is talking these days about being green. To me, that includes being Fair Trade, being sustainable, and organic. It might even include using alternative energy, or buying energy offsets. How does your company, your product, measure-up on these important issues?

Julianna We create these products out of safe materials so the children are not exposed to harmful chemicals but also so our products have multi-uses for it.

For example, our On-the-Go dispenser can hold formula for infants and can also be used for snacks as the children enter their toddler and preschool age.

We have conversion kits that extend the life of the bottle by converting them to sippy cups.

Our Baby OHM mats are made of photo-degradable material.

We understand that the decisions you make while running a business will impact on the environment. We do what we can to offset that by choosing to use recycled materials wherever possible and choosing manufacturing facilities that are like-minded: i.e., they are using energy offsets and/or using alternative energy, and are Fair Trade.  

CW When someone reads the ingredients from the label on your ZoLi product, what would you like them to notice?

Julianna No BPA, no phthalates and hospital grade silicone.

We’ve worked very hard to manufacture our products only in facilities that are dedicated to using non-toxic materials. We think it’s important for parents to read labels and we are pretty proud of what’s on ours – including the price tag.
